Welcome to Relook, a mobile application for virtual hairstyle try-on and hair color changes powered by AI, developed by Mamont ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Relook, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect the following personal information:

  • Account Information: Email address, encrypted password, account creation date
  • User Preferences: Favorite hairstyles, color preferences, app settings
  • Contact Information: When you contact us for support

2.2 Face Data

To provide our virtual hairstyle try-on and face shape analysis features, we collect and process Face Data from the photos you upload.

  • Collection: We collect the image of your face that you upload or capture using the camera.
  • Usage: Face Data is used exclusively to:
    • Analyze your face shape (Face Shape feature)
    • Apply virtual hairstyles and hair colors to your photo (Catalog, Colorist, Reference features)
  • Sharing: Face Data is processed on our secure cloud servers. We do not share your Face Data with third parties for marketing or any other purposes. It is only shared with our cloud infrastructure providers necessary to perform the AI processing.
  • Retention: Original photos and generated results are stored in your personal private gallery within the app and on our secure servers to allow you to view and manage your history. You can delete your Face Data (original photos and results) at any time through the app's "Delete" function, which permanently removes them from our servers. If you delete your account, all associated Face Data is permanently deleted.
  • Disclosure: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Face Data to outside parties.

2.3 Usage Data

  • Photos: Photos you upload for virtual try-on are processed on our servers and may be stored temporarily for processing
  • Generated Results: Your generated hairstyle and color change results stored in your gallery
  • App Analytics: How you interact with the app, features used (Face Shape, Catalog, Colorist, Reference), session duration
  • Technical Data: Device information, operating system, app version

2.3 Photo Processing

Relook processes photos you upload to provide virtual hairstyle try-on and color changes:

  • Photos are uploaded to our secure servers for AI processing
  • Photos are processed using AI algorithms to generate virtual try-on results
  • Original photos and generated results are stored in your personal gallery
  • You can delete photos and results at any time from your gallery
  • Photos are not shared with third parties except for necessary AI processing services

2.4 Device Permissions

Our app requests the following permissions:

  • Camera: To take photos for virtual try-on
  • Photo Library: To access and save photos from your device
  • Internet Access: To upload photos for processing and sync your gallery across devices
  • Notifications: To send updates about processing status and app features (optional)

3. Face Data Policy

This section specifically addresses our collection, use, and retention of Face Data, in compliance with App Store Guidelines.

3.1 What Face Data We Collect

We collect images containing user faces that are voluntarily uploaded by the user or captured via the device camera. Our AI algorithms analyze these images to identify facial landmarks and face geometry necessary for:

  • Determining face shape
  • Applying virtual hairstyles and hair colors accurately

3.2 How We Use Face Data

Face Data is used solely for the purpose of providing the app's core functionality:

  • To analyze face shape and recommend suitable hairstyles
  • To render virtual hairstyles and hair colors onto the user's photo
  • To transfer hairstyle styles from reference photos to user photos

We do not use Face Data for user authentication, advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than the virtual try-on features described.

3.3 Data Retention

We retain Face Data (original photos and generated results) only as long as you maintain an active account and choose to keep the items in your gallery. This allows you to access your past try-ons.

You can delete your Face Data at any time:

  • By deleting specific photos or results from your gallery in the app
  • By deleting your account via the "Delete Account" option in settings

When you perform a delete action, the data is permanently removed from our active servers immediately.

3.4 Third-Party Sharing

We do not share Face Data with third parties. The only exception is our secure cloud infrastructure provider, Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), which we use solely for:

  • Storage: Securely storing your photos and results (Firebase Storage)
  • Processing: Running the AI algorithms required for the app's features (Cloud Functions)

Google Firebase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not have the right to use your Face Data for their own purposes (such as training their own AI models or marketing).

4. How We Use Other Information

  • Process photos using AI to generate virtual hairstyle try-on and color change results
  • Provide personalized hairstyle recommendations based on face shape analysis
  • Store your generated results in your personal gallery
  • Sync your gallery and preferences across devices when online
  • Improve AI algorithms and app performance
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT:

  • Sell, trade, or rent your personal information or Face Data
  • Share your photos or generated results for advertising purposes
  • Use your photos for any purpose other than providing virtual try-on services
  • Share your photos with other users or publicly

We use the following third-party service providers:

  • Google Firebase (Storage & Cloud Functions): Used to securely store your photos (Face Data) and account information. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Analytics Providers: We may share anonymized usage data (e.g., button clicks, screen views) to improve the app. This data does NOT include photos, Face Data, or personally identifiable information.

We implement appropriate security measures:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure cloud infrastructure via Google Firebase
  • Limited access to personal information
  • Regular security updates
